CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF DNA Congratulations on an extraordinary achievement, given what’s happened in publishing and in the gay world over the past 20 years. – David Mills
Your efforts are incomparable. To have kept gay press alive over a period where it has slipped into obsolescence elsewhere is an extraordinary effort. All the best to you and your readership for keeping the dream alive and maintaining a continuity we rarely enjoy in gay culture. – Kerry Bashford
Congratulations on 250! DNA has inspired countless of people over its wonderful life. You should be very proud to be an important part of gay culture in this day and age. One hell of an achievement. – Christian

STRAIGHT ACTOR SAYS PLAYING A GAY ROLE IS NOT A GIMMICK
Viggo Mortenson plays the lead gay character in his new film, Falling, which he also directs.
I agree that there must be more representation, but surely we can all agree that the very definition of “acting” is someone taking on roles that are not their true selves? By all means, create more roles for LGBTIQ actors, but stop crying foul every time a straight actor takes on a gay role. After all, we do want more gay actors being given straight roles, too, don’t we?
– Devlin Tay
This whole debate with gay actors protesting they should be cast as every gay characters is ludicrous. “Gay” is a character type like playing a lawyer, a hairdresser or a king. We don’t hear Queen Elizabeth complaining to film studios that she should be cast in every royal role in films and TV. – Ed Chiu
TRUMP INCREASED HIS LGBTIQ VOTE IN 2020 ELECTION
Because Trump isn’t every horrible thing you’ve been told for the past five years. Wake up and think for yourself and stop believing the media. – Jim McGinley
[Replying to Jim] I believe in the actions he has taken throughout his presidency. He stopped trans people from serving based on the gender they identify with, he tried to give businesses the right to refuse service based on someone’s gender identity or sexuality… He is as evil as the media portrays and this election shows just how much. Refusing to step down when he has clearly lost – that’s someone trying to be a dictator. – Keegan Gallagher
LGBT traitors. – Marty Wayne
Wow. Sad to see gay people who have no selfesteem and have no problem being denounced or having their rights taken away. – Phil Lamont
Never discount the ability of gays to be racist and hateful. – DM Weary
You get this shit show when your desire to be a white supremacist and discriminate against others outweighs your desire to not be discriminated against yourself. – Shane Brown
Any gay person that backed Trump deserves to be denied sex for life. – Ronald Moore
What makes you think that white gays are any less racists than their straight white counterparts? Racism is indoctrinated into children way before they realise they’re gay. – Josef Silva
Find it impossible to understand why the GOP had a bigger LGBTIQA+ vote this year. This administration was the most toxic, homophobic ever, many of them trying to remove workplace rights, the trans legislations on toilets, access to health, accommodation and rise in hate crimes. To those in this community who gave their votes to the GOP, you are a disgrace. Thankfully, your internalised homophobia did not harm or hamper the election results.
– Anthony Newsome
Some rich gay people care more about their privileges than supporting other LGBTIQ people. – Tomas Leiva
