Narromine to host NSW Veterans Golf titles

-

NORM Lewis called during the week, excited as ever that the Narromine Veteran’s Golf Club has again been chosen allocated the NSWVGA Men’s Fourball State Championships on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September.

“It’s the third consecutive year the Club has been chosen to host this event and our whole community is very proud to hold such a prestigious event,” Norm said.

“In the past the event has been well patronised by vets from all parts of NSW. Last year they came from as far afield as Hay, Manilla, Port Kembla, Yamba and Wauchope participating and the Club is expecting a similar line up this year.”

Norm pointed out there are a couple of changes for this year’s Championship.

“The men’s will be played over 36 holes - 18 on each day - and the Club will cater for ladies who wish to play over the weekend, by staging an 18 hole single stableford event each day.”

Championship Shield holders Bruce Mitchell and Neil Ashdown from the local club are keen to defend their title but will face plenty of challengers.

All players will be provided with breakfast and lunch as part of their nomination fee. The catering is in the hands of the Narromine Lady golfers who always provide first class meals.

Entry forms for the event have been posted on the NSWVGA web site www.nswvga.com.au. Alternatively, entry forms may be obtained by contacting Club Secretary, Norm Lewis on telephone 02 6889 4212.

Entries for the event close on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
