Riverfest set to amp up regional food and wine

GLENN Shorrock, Wendy Matthews, 1927, Dragon, John Paul Young, Euroglider­s, Shane Howard of Goanna, Chocolate Starfish, Misex and Sharon O’neill are no strangers to the central west only on Saturday, September 16, they’ll be performing at Riverfest Food, Wine and Music Festival.

Local producers from the region will be offering fare for the audience to enjoy while they kick back to some legendary tunes.

“I’m hoping it will be a food and wine festival as well, one we can call our own,” said Lazy River Estate owner Pamela Scott.

“The Riverfest Food, Wine and Music Festival is an exciting, new event to help put Dubbo and the Central West on the map for local produce, in particular our local food and beverage suppliers.

“Through the collaborat­ion of local restaurant­s, mobile catering vans and regional beverage producers, we have been able to develop a fantastic line up of food and beverage stalls for all festival goers,” Pam said.

Well-known local restaurant­s; Press and Belloti’s, food vans The MEXI co, Trang Le Vietnamese and Silo & Co will be participat­ing.

The Chefs will showcase their culinary talents with a variety of delicious creations available throughout the Festival.

Small Acres Cyder, Mudgee Brewery, Moothi Estate (Pinot Grigio), Walter Wines (Cabernet/shiraz), Vinifera Wines (Sparkling) and First Ridge Estate (Enzo, Rosé, Vermintino) will be providing the wines, beers and ciders of the region.
