WELLINGTON NEWS Concert delights crowd at Wellington Civic Hall
A concert at the Wellington Civic Hall on Saturday, July 14, featured performances from Glenn Amers, Nathan Byron, Hugh Francis, Anna Marie Gibbons and Damian Whiteley.
Hugh Francis is Wellington born and an alumnus of the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, England, and the Royal Opera House Covent Gardens Young Artist Programme.
He returns regularly to work with the Royal Opera along with opera companies and on the concert platforms of Adelaide, Amsterdam, Bergen, Birmingham, Bregenz, Brno, Dublin, Dortmund, Geneva, Helsinki, London, Los Angeles, Manchester, New York, Palermo, Paris, San Francisco, and Singapore.
Nathan Byron is a young tenor from Geurie. He is currently in his third year at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music studying a Bachelor of Music. Nathan’s vocal performances are under the guidance of Andrew Dalton and is currently an associate artist with Pacific Opera and a Scholar of St Stephens Uniting Church. Amy Ryan, Charlie Edwards, Charlotte Ryan Fiona Woodrow, Sarah Dight, Wendy Mason Val Wing, Sue Clair, Kyran Hill, Nathan Bryon, Karen Bryon (Nathan was one of the performers and is from Geurie)
