Having acquired the rights from Atari, Stardock ( Galactic Civilizations) has established a new Maryland studio specifically to work on this resurrection of a series that hasn’t witnessed a new entry for two decades. Set in 2086, Origins tasks you with piloting Earth’s first interstellar craft around a procedurally generated galaxy. Though you’ll find yourself embroiled in galactic skirmishes, extraterrestrial encounters centre more often on communication than conflict.
