Aside from being looted from dungeons, gear can be bought from merchants at your camp for emeralds, with enchantment points (earned through levelling, as in the original game) used to improve the gear. As you level up and find better weapons and armour, you can salvage old equipment, which returns any enchantment points spent to use on your new items. Salvaging also returns emeralds, which you can then trade for more gear. Items bought from vendors are completely randomised, but the salvage mechanism ensures you can keep trying for better stuff if you don’t like what you’ve been sold. Unfortunately in co-op, although players each get the same amount of loot from chests, there’s no way of trading your gear with your party.
