With all respect to God’s Trigger, Ghost runner represents a huge leap forward for One More Level: it doesn’t look like a game that was made by just 30 people. Its other development partner might raise eyebrows; given 3D Realms’ decision not to remove homophobic content from retro shooter Ion Fury, did the studio have any concerns about teaming up? “No,” Ratusznik says – though he notes its involvement amounts mostly to marketing assistance, occasional feedback and possibly a physical edition of the game.
