Running partners

With all respect to God’s Trigger, Ghost runner represents a huge leap forward for One More Level: it doesn’t look like a game that was made by just 30 people. The studio has had some help, as studio head Szymon Bryła explains. “I’d say that we are the vision and project holders, but Slipgate Ironworks has been a huge support to us.” Indeed, the Danes will be responsible for porting Ghost runner to consoles. Its other development partner might raise eyebrows; given 3D Realms’ decision not to remove homophobic content from retro shooter Ion Fury, did the studio have any concerns about teaming up? “No,” Ratusznik says – though he notes its involvement amounts mostly to marketing assistance, occasional feedback and possibly a physical edition of the game.
