BEAUTY RE-IMAGINED

As the new retelling of Beauty and the Beast hits cinemas, Disney collaborates with celebrated fashion illustrator Megan Hess to bring Belle’s iconic gown to life.

It’s a tale as old as time, of a beauty and her beast. Of love that sees beauty beyond the surface and into the heart and spirit. In fashion, there’s an age-old truth that the dress does not make a woman, but rather, the woman makes the dress. And never has this been more true in the case of Disney’s Belle and her yellow ball gown.

With her smart and spirited personality, her dreams of adventure and romance, and her strong yet selfless will, it’s hard to imagine this confident and energetic fairytale princess in any other hue.

To celebrate the live action release of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson, Luke Evans and Dan Stevens, internationally acclaimed fashion illustrator Megan Hess has re-imagined Belle’s iconic sunny, sweeping gown, as if it were straight off the haute couture runway, which has brought both the dress and the essence of the inspiring princess to life.
