Remember, you can always cut them shorter so start long. STEP 2 Cut along the chalk marking. Don’t worry if this isn’t neat. Worry if it is neat. STEP 3 Pull out any loose threads with your fingers (or better yet, ask a nearby small child to help). STEP 4 Treat the hem with sandpaper for a subtle fray.
