There’s strength (and discounts) in numbers

While you might think it’ll be easier for everyone to look after their own flight arrangements, it doesn’t always pay to do so, as booking in a group can score you a discount. Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin and Tigerair all offer specials for 10 or more people in the one booking. If it’s still proving too hard to coordinate, bring in an expert. “Our group bookings can vary from 10 people up to 400, whether it’s a hen’s party, ‘buddymoon’ or a big family group,” says Kellie Carty, corporate communications manager for Flight Centre. “You’ll maximise your savings if you work with your travel manager to arrange all your flights in the one booking. They’ll also manage your booking from start to finish and communicate the itinerary to your group.”
