The model, mother and mogul behind Kora Organics talks feeding skin from within and why she uses blush as eyeshadow

MY DAY-TO-DAY LOOK IS QUITE The SIMPLE – LESS IS MORE. most important thing is to ensure my skin is the healthiest it can be, so I use my Kora Organics products to maintain a healthy glow and a clear complexion. After I cleanse, mist and moisturise, I apply Kora Organics Tinted Day Cream to even my skin tone and RMS concealer where I need it. I use a bamboo toothbrush to groom my brows and I curl my eyelashes with a Shu Uemura eyelash curler to open my eyes, followed by a coat of RMS mascara.

I USE LA PRAIRIE RADIANCE CELLULAR CREAM BLUSH ON MY The Rose Glow EYELIDS. shade accentuates my eye colour. I also like to use RMS Lip2cheek tint in Beloved on my lips and cheeks. It’s buildable, so you can decide how much or how little pigment you want.

EVERY MORNING I MIX KORA’S NEW SKIN SUPPLEMENT WITH WATER AND HAVE IT ON AN It energises me EMPTY STOMACH. and sets me up for the day. I also keep an extra one in my bag so if I’m having a long day, I’ll have it in the afternoon as a pick-me-up. I mix it into smoothies, too. Each sachet contains noni extract, acai, blueberry and matcha green tea, so you can feed your body with the nutrients it needs. And when you use the Kora skincare on the outside, it’s like a double whammy.

FOR MY JOB, I CAN’T ALWAYS WEAR ORGANIC MAKEUP, BUT It’s about I USE THE 80/20 RULE. making conscious decisions. The skin is your body’s largest organ and what you put on it soaks in, so for me it’s a no-brainer to use organic products all over my body and fill it with nutrients. But then with small areas like makeup when it’s unavoidable, it all balances out.

WHEN I WASH MY HAIR, I ALWAYS DO A COLD RINSE. It’s so good for your hair, your lymphatic system and it makes you feel energised. I try to not wash my hair every day unless I’m shooting, just to give it a break. I’ve been using the Noni Glow Body Oil as a treatment, but that can get expensive so coconut oil works, too. I think the key to healthy hair is eating healthily – getting all your essential fatty acids and good fats such as avocados, macadamias and olive oil.

I’VE PRACTISED MEDITATION I like to FOR A LONG TIME. mix it up though, so sometimes I do guided ones, sometimes it’s a walking meditation or breathing meditation. I love hearing what other people do and learning from them. I was on a Goop panel earlier this year with Cameron Diaz and she said she only did transcendental meditation. Wellness isn’t a one-size-fits-all thing. What was great about that panel was seeing these women who were all really hardworking but who also realised the importance of balance, being kind to yourself and taking a moment each day for themselves.
