ROYAL FLUSH

Freshly pinched pink cheeks are always Parisian chic, but after several seasons of naked, hyperreal skin, blush appeared to be firmly back in favour with French makeup teams. Switch out matte powders for cream formulations to give skin the dewy, healthy-looking flush seen at Hermès, A.P.C and Jacquemus. And skip the brush and sponge – blending with fingers will create the prettiest finish.

LINE UP

True to that Parisian insouciance, eyeliner was smudged and styled to look left-on-overnight. Kept to the lower lash line and winged out at the edges, Dior Makeup creative director Peter Philips had models squint their eyes together for that morningafter effect. Break out the kohl and smudge it along the base of your bottom lashes. Dust your lids with a matte, neutral shadow and embrace that second-day sleep-in effect.

PLAIT-EAU

Good news – your lazy-girl braids and plaits are still just as acceptable at the office as they are for Sunday morning’s barre class. Channel Shiatzy Chen’s wispy, baby-haired Dutch braids for day, or do Esteban Cortazar’s wet-look twisted plaits at dinner and drinks. The only rule? Make it look done, but like you didn’t care about doing it.
