New Multi bale feeder at Farm World

-

McIntosh Brothers from New Zealand are proud to release and for the first time displayed in Australia their new Multi Bale Feeder at Farm World 2016.

The new multi bale feeder is designed to load, carry and feed out up to four round bales of silage or hay in one load and this will greatly improve the efficiently for farmers that have to feed larger herds.

The Multi Bale Feeder has many unique features and has been designed with strength, outstanding performance and ease of use in mind.

Based on the popular trailed bale feeder design that won the TMA best non-powered machine of the year award at Farm World in 2014, we have used many of the same features including the bale loading system.

This system allows the operator to lift and hold the bale above the platform for easy removal of the nett and wrap.

This is a great feature for people that want to use rotorcut or fine silage bales that tends to fall apart once the nett has been removed.

The bale transfer system holds two bales and allows the operator to push each bale into the feeding cradle. Specially designed feeder slats allow easy transfer of the bales but ensuring aggression for even and consistent feeding of the bales.

The dual sided feeding cradle allows the operator to accurately control the amount of fodder he requires to feed out no matter which way the bale is placed into the cradle. The new style vertical drop side feeder chains assist in the prevention of the wheels running over the material.

Other features like a rear step, large nett and wrap storage bins and 2 remote operation are all designed to make feeding the bales quicker and easier.

The multi bale feeder is also able to feed out large square bales or a combination of both.

On recent trials at a local farm, we discovered we could place a large square bale onto the transfer table and still carry two round silage bales on the front and rear of the machine. Without changing anything on the machine, the operator was able to feed both the large square bale and silage bales evenly and constantly to his herd without fuss.

Like all McIntosh equipment, strength and durability are key features in all of their machines.

The low profile heavy duty chassis and tandem axles are designed to give the machine a low centre of gravity for better stability. With bales increasing in size and weight, we have trialled this machine with large 5ft rotor-cut silage bales weighing up to 1300kg and it handled them and fed them out with ease.

The larger hydraulic motor, heavy duty feeder chains and dual ram lift system are all designed with strength and give years of trouble free service.
