The company's purpose-built sorting facility in Dandenong receives, separates and recovers many different waste streams. On average a standard new home produces 18-30 tonnes of waste materials including concrete, bricks, timber, plasterboard, etc. which are suitable for recovery. 18 tonnes is approximately the volume of 6 cars. The Dandenong sorting facility produces recycled crushed rock, timber mulch, soil, waste to energy product and returns metals, paper and cardboard into manufacturing.
Mobius currently supplies their large format timber mulch to dairy and cattle farmers to provide long- lasting dry and diseasefree access to laneways and calving bays along with providing weed and erosion control.
