Meet you on Main Street

-

Retirement Communities Australia (RCA) welcomed the first residents of Main Street Village, Pakenham in December. Located literally in Main Street, this boutique style village offers easy access to local shops and the train station on foot, with medical services and hospitals just down the road, and a plethora of local attractions in the wider area. Fountain Gate Shopping Centre is just 20 minutes away, and Melbourne CBD is less than an hour via the freeway or train.

With metropolitan Melbourne to the west and rural Gippsland to the east, cool mountains to the north and the coast to the south, living in Pakenham offers the best of all worlds. A day at the beach, a drive through the majestic forests of the Dandenongs, or a picnic and a day trip through Gippsland's rolling landscape are all within an hour’s drive. For those who enjoy the good things in life, gorgeous local produce from the Farmers Markets or straight from the farm gate is readily available.

Main Street Village is being built on the former Pakenham Consolidated School site. The iconic Algerian oak tree that graces the entrance was planted by a former pupil at the school in 1901 to commemorate Federation. The tree is protected through its heritage status and will be a beautiful landmark at the entrance of the boutique style village.

Main Street Village will provide a boutique living environment, with just 129 independent living villas and a choice of four different floor plans. All villas have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a study, a double lock-up garage and range in size.

As in all RCA villages, the communal facilities will be second to none, with a resort style Clubhouse offering indoor pool, gymnasium, pamper centre, consulting rooms, library, bar, lounge and much more. A lawn bowls green will sit adjacent to the exclusive Clubhouse.

Construction is well underway, and the onsite sales office is open every day from 10am till 4pm. There are three new fully furnished display homes to inspect and the Clubhouse is due for completion in late 2016. The kettle is always on, and visitors are welcome to enjoy a cuppa and a chat after a tour of the village!
