2016 sees the introduction of a new Farm World Equestrian Expo. Sponsored by Pakenham Isuzu UTE and Gippsland Isuzu UTE the Expo includes a broad range of equestrian related exhibitors, a variety of masterclasses with advice from the best in the industry, as well as both dressage and show jumping competitions. A ticket to Farm World includes entry to the Farm World Equestrian Expo (access from the western boundary of Lardner Park)

An extensive show jumping competition features a range of classes culminating in the awarding of the Farm World Cup. The two key show jumping competitions, the Farm World Cup and the Mini Prix are respectively sponsored by Pakenham Produce & Saddlery and Yarragon Rural Supplies.- Saturday & Sunday
MASTERCLASS PROGRAM (All Masterclasses are located on Arena 2)
THURSDAY
10am LONG REINING demonstration by Rene Spierings on techniques to correctly & safely educate your horse in long reins.
11am RACE HORSE TO RIDING HORSE demonstration by Off the Track expert Katie Ramsay, showcases the thoroughbred as a versatile performance and pleasure mount. Includes training methods involving several horses at different stages of their re-education.
1pm TRAINING SHOWJUMPERS demonstration by Adam Wootten will cover techniques to develop a successful showjumping horse including a variety of exercises on horses at different levels.
3pm RIDER HEALTH & FITNESS presentation by Zoe Hyde includes rider exercises and nutrition programs.
FRIDAY
10am SADDLE FITTING presentation by Robert McCann providing advice saddles to suit your individual horse.
11am HORSEMANSHIP -BODY CONTROL demonstration by Jessica Oldham, focusig on applying her body control method from groundwork to riding, gaining horse and rider confidence and increasing the bond with your horse.
1.30pm THE TRAINING SCALE SIMPLIFIED presentation by Nicole Magoffin on how to correctly follow the German Training Scale. How to correctly identify your horse’s strength and weaknesses are in regards to the training scale and putting this knowledge into everyday practice.
3pm GROWING SUSTAINABLE PASTURES FOR HORSES presentation by Simon Hunt from Stephen Pasture Seeds on pasture establishment and ongoing maintenance (ie. weed, insect and fertilizer and grazing management).
SATURDAY
10am MOUNTED GAMES demonstration by Mounted Games Victoria. Mounted Games are a series of fast races performed on horseback. Riders require a high degree of athletic ability, good riding skills, hand-to-eye coordination, determination and a competitive team spirit.
11am FOUR TO THE FLOOR HORSEMANSHIP demonstration by Dan Mahoney. Dan will highlight how to get control of your horse’s feet with the goal of improving communication between you and your horse. The program focuses on safety with the key principles being to make the wrong actions difficult and the right actions easy.
12noon DENTISTRY AND LAMINITIS MANAGEMENT presentation by Amanda Weller. Amanda is an equine veterinarian and horse dentist with experience in treating horses from all disciplines and ages. The presentation will cover the importance of preventative dentistry as well as preventing and managing the common condition of laminitis.
2pm HORSE CARE presentation by Angela Lea from Horse Fix. Angela, an equine body and Bowen therapist will present on how you can assess and care for horses using a DIY horse owner’s body therapy and holistic tool box.
3pm MOUNTED GAMES demonstration by Mounted Games Victoria.
SUNDAY

Long reining is a valuable tool when breaking a horse, training performance horses, as well as for rehab or fitness work.
