SHEEP DOG YARD TRIAL

Work­ing Dog Yard Trial : The trial in­volves col­lect­ing and mov­ing a mob of sheep through a set of yards. This is a Vic­to­rian Yard, Util­ity and Farm Dog As­so­ci­a­tion af­fil­i­ated trial un­der­taken by the Warragul and Dis­trict Ken­nel and Obe­di­ence Club. The trial aims to sim­u­late ac­tual farm con­di­tions.

PAS­TURE, GRAIN & VEGETABLE DIS­PLAY

Fea­tur­ing an up­dated dis­play of a range of new va­ri­eties of grasses, legumes, fod­der crops and veg­eta­bles. The 2016 dis­play sees a unique range of food grains such as teff, quinoa, ama­ranth, chia, lin­seed, buck­wheat, rye and spelt. Pulses in­clud­ing peanuts, lupini, broad, bor­lotti, pinto and adzuki beans. Stock­feed ce­re­als such as maize, oats, trit­i­cale and grain sorghum and veg­eta­bles in­clud­ing pota­toes, sweet po­tato, peas, Asian veg­eta­bles and salad greens.

WORM RE­SIS­TANCE IN DAIRY CAT­TLE
