Yamaha’sYamaha’ new R6 is a terrific bike, but could do with getting back some of those ponies lost via Euro 4, and a little bit extra would be nice at the same time, too. This stainless-steel system from Yoshi’ (with a stainless/carbon end can) could be just the ticket. It’s claimed to add about 4 per cent power, 2.3 per cent torque and reduce the overall weight by nearly 5kg. The weight saving is great, and while the power gains may not seem huge, it’s just the start and expect more after sorting the fuelling or getting it flashed. There is a titanium version too, which weighs in at £2,141, while the can alone is £695.
