ENGINE
The air/oil-cooled boxer engine is the same lump as used in all of the R nineT range and makes the same 108bhp with 116Nm of torque as the original R nineT despite now being Euro 4-compliant. It is operated by a conventional throttle system, so you don’t get power modes or advanced traction control, however BMW’s basic traction control system, ASC, is available as a £310 optional extra and can be retro-fitted.
