We asked a mate in the trade what he’d look for as future collectables. Here’s what he came up with…

Sean Mills owns extreme tuning outfit Big CC Racing (www.bigccracing.com), and he’s a big fan of the B-King. But he also fingers some leftfield options: “Up-coming classics? For me, you’re looking at the usual suspects – the likes of Suzuki GSX-R1100 slabsides, early Honda FireBlades and Yamaha R1s. I also like the Kawasaki GPZ1000RX and GPZ900R, and Ducati 916 and 748s. Going further back, I’d look at the Norton rotaries, Honda VF1000R and VF1000F, and Yamaha XS1100.

“And the most valuable bike in 20 years’ time? Four-cylinder Triumphs, like the Daytona 1200. You heard it here first!”
