THE NUMBERS GAME

The NorthWest 200 is a massive undertaking with around 800 officials on duty for each of the practice and race days. There are 220 marshals, plus 66 flag marshals as well as the medical staff, scrutineers, race administration, recovery crews, timekeepers, media staff, course superintendents, paddock staff, security and even a race chaplain. The management team consists of 15 people, each with a specific role, all of whom report to Mervyn. Meetings take place each month throughout the year and then from February up to the event, every two weeks.
