I'M LOVING IT!

-

I have never written to any mag (or anyone for that matter) before, but the latest issue made me feel compelled. Since Bruce took the reins (we still love you Rootsy) I really love what he has done so far. Interesting articles, great content and it is brilliant to have a racer heading up the mag. Your SBOTY 2017 really was the best yet! As Fagan said, concise and honest is rare but really appreciated, also the photography was fantastic. Mr Fagan, your writing genuinely had me pissing myself with laughter – it’s this style of writing that makes FB so much more interesting and hilarious than any other publication. Your critique was so bang on and detailed. It’s a snooze fest when I read elsewhere ‘it steers nicely’. Your descriptions of how they feel mid-corner etc. really translates to us what they feel like to ride, even if we haven’t ridden them. Most modern bikes steer nicely, but us consumers need more detail of what they REALLY feel like in a corner. Also, the fact that you race the TT means, as I am mainly a road rider, your word is final. BJ, thank you for all the effort you put into the FB media.

I’m gutted once I finish an issue, as I have to wait a whole month to grab the new one. But it’s cool, because I hop on to the YouTube channel and Facebook and there is so much more. Along with your blogs and all the other videos it keeps me going until the new issue comes out. Especially the on board track videos. Cheers my man! No one else offers these extras. The magazine gets better all the time. This is the reason why FB is top choice for me – once I have read an issue the way you talk about bikes with such enthusiasm and passion has me running out the door to ride my own! It’s great that it’s not just me who loves a wheelie! Also, everyone stop worrying! Me and my friends are in our early twenties and we don’t ride scramblers and cafe racers. We and many other young faces we see still love burying a bike in a corner and smashing a red line. Sports bikes will live on as young people will always love going fast, no matter what happens to the world!

P.S. As it’s no secret that print is being squeezed, what’s the best way to support the mag? Going toWHSmith and picking it up off the shelf or subscribing so the publishers see how many people still read a physical magazine? Keep up the top work and thank you again for inspiring the latest generation to not trade in for a Soho scrambler that actually goes round a corner type of bike! Charlie

Cheers Charlie, it really means a lot to us to hear this sort of stuff! As long as you learn, laugh and enjoy it, that’s all that matters. We have an awesome team and we love what we do! Oh, and whichever way you read us works! I’m still an old-fashioned fan of magazines though… FB
