THE BAD TIMES

-

Sean Emmett has had an interesting life especially when it came to relationships. Originally a married family man with two daughters, the party antics eventually led to a break up and with it a rollercoaster ride to infamy. He’s not at liberty to reveal all as, believe it or not, the accident involving his new wife Abbie, which saw her fall from a balcony on the couple’s honeymoon in Dubai, is still being investigated and which saw Emmett originally charged with murder. He explains… “We’d not even planned on going to Dubai as we’d got married in South Africa where I’d been racing at a classic meeting. The flight via Dubai was cheaper to get home but it turned out to be my worst decision ever. There was this horrible accident when Abbie fell and from then on, things just turned very quickly and the next thing I knew I was stuck there for ten months and the authorities wouldn’t give me a reason why. ‘Forget England, you stay here’ is all they’d say. “I ended up going from hotel to hotel, I lodged with ex-Pats and racked up a bill of £35k. Even Abbie’s funeral happened in the UK without me being allowed out of Dubai to attend. It was madness and my Barrister keeps telling me that I’m Surrey Police’s favourite toy, even though they cleared me! I must be the most famous person on their books!”

So, 2013 was a tough year and what followed didn’t get any easier as Emmett tried to get some normality back in his life. All was going well until he hit the headlines again, for all the wrong reasons.

“I was homeless and penniless when I got back from Dubai and I was doing my best to get my life back on track but had a row with my girlfriend Lana and the Old Bill turned up in the hotel I was working in and arrested me. They said they’d had a report of me assaulting her and they ended up slapping a Domestic Violence Protection Order on me and sending me to prison for two weeks.”

Emmett is once again rebuilding his life and despite his hardships, is remarkably upbeat about things. His parting shot is typically Emmett: “Everything will be sorted one way or another by the end of this year, it has to be legally, and then I’ll be writing a book so people will be able to decide the truth for themselves…”

It’s got ‘best-seller’ written all over it already.
