THROTTLE BODIES
The Daytona’s throttle bodies need balancing every 6,000 miles and the secondary air injection system should be reset every 12,000 miles. If these are skipped it can lead to a poorly fuelling bike with an abrupt throttle response. While the bike is being set up, get the mechanic to remove the slop from the throttle cable, improving initial throttle response and feel from the twist grip. Owners often fit aftermarket throttle assemblies to remove the slop.
