GSX-R1000 L6

It was a de­cent bike to ride. In iso­la­tion it made much more sense, but when com­pared to the L7 it came across as a bit lardy and gut­less down the straights. The sus­pen­sion could have done with some fet­tling, but it still got round cor­ners okay. There’s no tech, which is a shame be­cause it would make this bike a lot bet­ter. That, and hav­ing some de­cent brakes. They weren’t the best.

GSX-R1000R L7

I know this bike well, as it’s the ba­sis of what I race for Suzuki in the BSB cham­pi­onship. Even though it’s not got the legs of my su­per­bike, that doesn’t make it slow. It’s a weapon and I’d ar­gue it’s the best pro­duc­tion sports­bike on the mar­ket. It han­dles well, drives a treat out of cor­ners and packs a good pack­age of rider aids you can re­ally trust in. Looks awe­some too.
