Fast Bikes Magazine:
British Superbike Championship announces official prototype class, British GP2 for 2018!
The new category will run alongside the Dickies BSB British Supersport Championship but be separately classified
It will allow the use of any 600cc four-cylinder or 675cc three-cylinder engines with a technical specification similiar to Stock 600, although a few modifications like a quickshifter are allowed – expect the bikes to pump out about 125bhp!
There will be a minimum combined weight of 222kg for both bike and rider.
More info when we get it, but we think it’s great that BSB is keeping up with current trends. What are your thoughts?
