SARAH’S STORY
Amid Jake’s challenge for the 2017 BSB title came some devastating news when his girlfriend Sarah was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. She’s bravely fighting cancer and is hoping to help raise money for the Bamford suite at Derby Nuffield Health, where she’s been receiving treatment from specialists who work purely on donations. In Sarah’s words, “I can’t tell you how it feels to pick up the phone and speak to the same people each time, or to go in and see the same faces, they are such a huge part of my journey that I want to give something back to them.”
