GIVE IT A GO…

-

You could waste away the winter sitting around on the sofa and getting pleasantly bloated on cheap beer and chocolates, or you could be ripping it up on a dirt bike and living the off-road dream. There are plenty of winter enduro championships running through till the spring of 2018, as well as practice tracks where you can have a bimble around at your own pace. Whatever floats your boat, we’d highly recommend you to give either option a go. And to help you on your way should you decide to head down the racing route, we asked a fired a few FAQS at the LEC organisers…

WHAT DO I NEED TO START RACING?

To race you need to be an LEC club member and have an ACU licence – if you go onto the LEC Facebook page, pinned at the top is a post by Gavin Smart titled Club Overview which gives you all the info about booking in and what you’ll need, etc. If you click on the box it takes you to the LEC website. The web address is: lincolnshireenduroclub.webs.com

ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?

You need to be 16 to race, but there are classes for Expert, Clubman, Sportsman, Ladies, Over 40s, Over 50s, Trail & Classic or Beginners. Beginners is classified as someone with no/little race experience so basically anyone can come and have a go.

WHAT SIZE OF BIKE WILL I NEED?
