TRIUMPH DAYTONA 675

-

After unsuccessfully trying to match the Japanese at their own game through the Daytona 600 and 650, Triumph went their own way in 2006 with a 675cc triple. And what a bike. Absolutely knocking it out of the ballpark at the first attempt, the Daytona went on to dominate group tests thanks to its triple’s gutsy midrange and searing top end that was all wrapped up in a fantastically agile chassis. And from 2011 there was even an R version that added Öhlins suspension and Brembo brakes to up the game even further. Wow!

WATCH OUT FOR:

There have been a few updates to the Daytona, with the 2013 revision the most dramatic. Later bikes are better, but the early models are still fantastic. Watch for seized suspension linkages, crash damage and seized exhaust valves.
