ONES TO WATCH

SENIOR TT:

The Senior last year was a classic and there’s absolutely no way to rule out Harrison and Hickman in 2019 after their blistering pace. Dunlop will be looking to get back to his winning ways here though, and with Hutchy and McGuinness both back to fitness, it’s going to be great to see what these two legends can do against the new guard.

SUPERBIKE TT:

With the first Superbike race so early on in the race week, there could be some real surprises. With Hicky and Dunlop both running the new S1000RRs, if there’s any inclement weather during practice week or hitches along the way, expect them to be playing catch-up at this point. This could open up the door to the likes of Harrison, who now has another year under his belt, the same team, but Team Green Factory backing for the first time ever. Mind you, there could be a surprise or two here…

SUPERSPORT TT:

It’s going to be hard to rule out Michael Dunlop here, who’ll be looking to repeat his incredibly scorching pace from 2018. Mind you, with Hutchy back on form and Hicky with a new factory Triumph equipped with more goodies underneath him, it wouldn’t be improbable to see another dramatic duel…

SUPERSTOCK TT:

Always an absolute corker of a race, the Superstock TT is looking to be a blinder once again for 2019. Hicky is the current lap record holder and will be undoubtedly fast (as he always is on the Stocker), but we can’t rule out Harrison or Dunlop just yet.

LIGHTWEIGHT TT:

Becoming incredibly fast and hotly contested for 2019, all eyes are on the brand new Nortons, ridden by Hicky, McGuinness and newcomer sensation Davey Todd. The Patons have been incredibly fast in the last few years, so expect there to be an incredible battle this year.

TT ZERO:

The TT Zero is always filled with the weird and the wonderful, yet it’s always the utterly professional Mugen squad that comes out on top. With an incredibly competitive line-up of McGuinness and Rutter, they’ll undoubtedly be at the sharp end once again.

SIDECAR:

Expect the Birchall brothers to be strong once again here. With the lap record at 119.250mph and such a strong record on the Island, they’re going to be tough to beat.
