THE FAST BIKES TRACKDAY

In what is now our yearly ritual, we took over Cadwell Park once again for our very own trackday. Goody bags, free gifts, helmet competitions… and riding in the sunshine. Does it get any better?

The answer is, abso-bloody-lutely not. Last year we were lucky enough to take over our very own trackday, and it was such a success we couldn’t resist doing it again. Cadwell Park, for those of you who don’t know it, is spectacular. It’s got more ups and downs than an American rollercoaster and is thinner than an old country lane, which makes it one of the very best tracks in the U.K. – and even, dare we say, the world, which meant it was an easy choice of location. As we’ve been working closely with the lovely ladies and gents at the helm of No Limits Trackdays, we hopped on to one of their days and with the help of Bridgestone, RST and Arai, we put on what must’ve been our best trackday yet…

ON THE DAY

So, what sets our trackday aside from all others, I hear you ask? Well for starters, once again, we ordered the very finest weather the U.K. has to offer, because that’s the sort of nice people we are. It’s always important to be supported by the very best in the biz for this sort of thing, which is exactly why Bridgestone, Arai & RST came along for the ride and, in turn, made the day as special as can be. This all started with a goody bag for every rider at signing on: from a free mag to stickers and everything in between, we had you covered. We then hijacked the briefing to liven things up a little bit, as the freebies didn’t stop there. Oh no, for every rider who filled out a simple card with Arai, they had the chance to win a brand spanking new lid on the day… so that’s a 1/120 chance of walking away with a brand new melon protector. Oh, and if you were riding on Bridgestones in the last session, you also got a gorgeously plush, high-quality helmet bag for good measure... now aren’t we nice?

And you know what? The day could not have gone any better. Throughout every session there was an absolutely massive array of abilities, machinery and riders – from first-time trackdays to some extremely rapid ladies, the day had it all covered. There were barely any incidents and red flags, and everyone we saw had an absolute blast of a time. The Arai race support truck was jam-packed with you lot refreshing your lids and getting a full service for absolutely free, and all of us here at Fast Bikes magazine had a bloody good day. Thank you for coming along and making it so special – we can’t wait till next year!
