WELCOME TO THE OCTOBER ISSUE!

Wow! What a month! The last few weeks has been a busy time for the Ford fan. To kick things off we had the biggest Blue Oval show of the year, Ford Fair at Silverstone. With over 4000 cars, hundreds of clubs, a huge selection of traders, stunt demos, and plenty of action both on and off the track, it set the tone for an action-packed few weeks!

Naturally, we were there with a huge stand of past, present, and future feature cars, as well as some the UK’s Fastest Fords - watching RS500 touring cars, WRC-spec Escort Cossies, and some of the quickest and meanest machines ever to wear the Blue Oval all battling it out on track was a true spectacle!

Talking of the fastest Fords, this month also boasts one of the lairiest creations ever to grace the cover - Tom Blackwood’s mental 700bhp, supercharged V8, rear-wheel drive Fiesta! Built purely for thrills, seeing this monster finally finished and on the track is just another reason why this month has been one of the best! We’ve also been to the RSOC’s big bash, National Day, where we enjoyed yet more Blue Oval action - but you’ll have to wait until the next issue for the full report as there’s been so much going on this month we simply couldn’t cram it all in! And, on a personal level, this month also saw us take delivery of our new Mk3 Focus RS project car! Already we’ve clocked up over 1500miles attending shows and events (and just enjoying the drive!) and we’ve already got our eyes on a few potential upgrades too - watch this space! Also this month we’ve got features on a hybrid turbo’d Fiesta ST, 514bhp Saph Cossie, ZVH turbo’d Mk3 Escort, a ST170-powered Mk3 Fiesta sleeper, Ford Live and Ford Summer Festival show reports, and a test drive of mountune’s new M380 Focus RS!
