Fast Ford

WELCOME TO THE DECEMBER ISSUE!

-

Well, I’m sad to say that the summer show season is over for another year. The nights are drawing in, the weather is changing, and without wishing to sound like a Game of Thrones character: “Winter is coming!”

But why should that stop us enjoying our fast Fords? It shouldn’t!

If your fast Ford is safely tucked away for its winter hibernation, or even if you still drive your car every day, without the busy summer schedule of shows and events taking up your weekends you will finally have some free time to make a start on your next round of upgrades and sort out those niggly little issues that have been bothering you all summer long.

But with money being tight at this time of year ( nobody wants to admit it, but we’ve all got one eye on Christmas!) finding the cash to start a new big-power engine build or bespoke track car conversion is going to be difficult. But finding a few quid here and there to sort out a few issues or make some simple improvements is well within reach, and budget.

To give you some inspiration this month we’ve complied a huge list of 99 modifications that cost less than £99. They won’t all suit every car, but a careful selection of the right ones can make a big difference. We even show you how to do four of them with our step-by-step guides! Also, helping you save the pennies, we show how you can rob parts from other Ford models to improve yours. Engines, brakes, interiors etc can all be repurposed to upgrade your own car! And to top it off, we’ve got a list of 25 ways that you could save money on your car insurance!

Elsewhere, we’ve got fantastic feature cars, including Dan Terry’s stunning S1 RS Turbo from the cover, we’ve been to the Bristol RSOC BBQ meet, and thrashed around in a 300bhp Fiesta ST too!

Who said winter has to be boring? Not me!

Enjoy the mag!
