WHO IS ANDY ROUSE?
Andy Rouse started off in autocross and Formula Ford in his teens, funding his racing by working at Broadspeed. He debuted in saloon car racing in 1972, in the Escort Mexico Championship, before driving Broadspeed Escorts, Dolomites, Capris and XJ12Cs in the BSCC. He set up Andy Rouse Engineering in 1981, along with numerous ex-Broadspeed employees, and took a number of championship wins – and in the early 1980s he started a long-running sponsorship relationship with Industrial Control Services ( ICS) plc. Ford homologated the RS500 for 1987 and Andy Rouse Engineering turned it into a BTCC legend. Of the assorted liveries associated with Rouse Sierras, ICS Scotland is the one that chimes most resonantly with the Scottish owner of this gleaming tribute car.
