Fast Ford

WELCOME TO THE FEBRUARY ISSUE!

- - Jamie King - Editor

Well, there's only one place to start this issue, and that's by wishing you all a very happy New Year. Some of you lucky subscribers (those on Santa's 'nice' list!) may well even get this issue pop through the door in time for Christmas, and if you're reading this before the big day then please, from everyone here at FF, allow me to wish you a Merry Christmas too.

Officially, this issue doesn't go on sale in the shops until 27th December, but that still gives us a few days to bring you the results from the Fast Ford Awards before 2020 sets in.

Last issue, you will recall reading all about the different categories we had devised to create the Awards. These were designed to give a snapshot of the entire depth and breadth of the fast Ford scene – not something that's particularly easy given the illustrious history and pedigree of the Blue Oval brand and the huge diversity within the fast Ford scene. But with the eight categories selected, we then put the fate of the winners in your hands, asking you to vote from our shortlist of entries for each award.

And you guys were fantastic! This year we saw more votes than I can ever remember from running similar competitions in the past. And while some of the results may not come as a huge shock to all of us, there were definitely a few surprises thrown in the mix too. I won't spoil the results here, but you can see a full list of winners over on page 62.

Last issue I said I felt the nominations for next year's awards were already underway with some brilliant feature cars in the Jan 2020 issue. Well, I'm going to have to repeat myself this month too, as we've got some simply staggering cars in this issue; covering everything from homebuilt hillclimber to concours champion, from fast Ford legend to the latest wave of tuned Blue Oval.

Oh, and with the January blues just around the corner, we've got the perfect antidote – what if we said you could buy a car, prep it for racing, and take part (and finish well!) in a four-hour endurance race in a Ford, all for less than £500? Interested? Turn to page 84 to find out how FF snapper Ade did exactly that! Once again, I wish you all a fantastic New Year, and I'll see

you in 2020...
