MATT DAVIS MK2 FOCUS RS
Among the gaggle of Mk2 Focus RSs we saw, this immaculately turned-out example belonging to Matt Davis caught our eye. The attention to detail in this car is incredible, Matt keen to retain a subtle look while still adding an impressive inventory of mods.
“I bought the car four years ago, as I’d always wanted one,” Matt told us. “It was a two-owner standard car with just over 20,000 miles on the clock.”
Since then, Matt has added more than a few of his own touches, including a Spec-R intercooler and oil cooler, Milltek Ultimate exhaust, and silicone hoses with an RS500style wrap. The Summit carbon strut brace is another neat touch, while H&R 30mm lowering springs help improve the road-holding.
And we reckon Matt’s choice of 19in OZ rims in Anthracite look just perfect with that Performance Blue paintwork, which incidentally has been clear-coated and looks totally flawless. Matt Lewis Motorsport, Staffordshire Car Care and Gary at Autotec have all played a major part in this project, Matt is keen to point out.
Currently, this RS produces a healthy 407bhp, but with a forged engine on the cards for next year, along with detailing, repainting the underside, and a custom boot build, you can guarantee there’s still plenty more to come.
