PAUL SHELTON MK3 FOCUS RS
Paul Shelton is no stranger to a quick Ford, having owned an ex-FFfeatured highly-tuned Stage 4 Mk2 Focus RS, and a well-known XR4i some years earlier.
After the sale of the Mk2, Paul was keen to make the natural progression towards a Mk3 Focus RS and bagged himself this stunning black example, which was just six months old at the time.
“I was always going to modify it, as I do all my Fords,” Paul smiled. “I’d already had the splitters and lowering springs fitted before I’d even picked the car up!”
Originally Triple R splitters were fitted all round, but the front has since been swapped to a Maxton version, which has just a little more clearance for added practicality. Bonnet vents, carbon trim and tinted lights are other external tweaks, but it’s those stunning BBS CHR 20in rims that really help to set this car off.
Paul explained, “I was looking for a set of CHRs for ages as they’re very rare. Eventually I heard about a set someone was intending to use on their track car but had decided they were too nice, so I managed to buy those.”
It’s not all about looks, either, as Paul has made his way through a Revo Stage 1 upgrade to the full Stage 2 package it runs now.
