The big talking point among the fans is whether Arteta will be given funds to compete. The pandemic and missing out on the Champions League has hit finances hard. This season will be different to last because we have an elite young coach with a clear vision and philosophy. He seems very focused on fixing our leaky defence, too.

I won’t be happy unless the project progresses to a point where there is a clear identity on the pitch. Arsenal have been in transition for 10 years – we must move forward.

Our most underrated player is Kieran Tierney. He has the makings of a world- class left- back and even takes a Tesco bag to games.

Look out for centre- back William Saliba: bought for £ 30m, he spent last year at Saint- Etienne and the reports from France have been wild. The opposition player I secretly

admire is Jack Grealish. He kept Villa afloat last season and is everything Arsenal need.

The pantomime villain will be

David Luiz – impossible to predict. He’ll drop three worldies when you don’t expect them, then a host of clangers in games he shouldn’t. The one change I’d make would

be our rich, absent owners. They do all of the right things on paper but don’t pay attention to the details.

Save the date for the North London Derby. Jose Mourinho’s record against us is disgraceful, so Arteta needs to restore some pride to the red side of the divide.

Our key player will be Auba – he’s one of the best strikers in the world and vital to any success we have. We’ll finish 5th.
