The big talking point among the fans is the freefall in form halfway through last season. We had injuries to key players but should have had more than enough in the tank. Instead, we did the tanking. This season will be different to last because we probably won’t beat anyone 9- 0.

Our most underrated player is Ricardo Pereira, who is still quite highly rated – which tells you just how good the guy really is.

Look out for stylish young midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury- Hall.

The opposition player I secretly admire is Adama Traore, who just makes football look fun.

The pantomime villain will be VAR, as it was last season. The handball decisions that went against us were ludicrous. I’m expecting more of the same from a terrible system.

the depths of the second tier, now reaping the rewards of our rise with great coverage Stateside. The fans’ opinion of the gaffer

is still pretty positive, but there’s work to be done after the freefall. We lacked a Plan B, recruitment has been a concern and we don’t show up for big games. If he left, he should be replaced by Nigel Pearson. Obviously.

We’ll finish 9th. The Europa League will be a lot to contend with for our young squad, after we missed out on a Champions League return.
