VIEW FROM THE STANDS
The big talking point among the fans is the takeover – or lack of.
This season will be different to last because we’ll have a new kit. Otherwise, it’ll be a grim, frustrating continuation of what’s gone before.
I won’t be happy unless someone at the club has taught Joelinton how to trap a ball in pre- season. Our most underrated player is
Isaac Hayden, our most consistent midfielder for the past two seasons.
The player I’d happily drive to another club is Emil Krafth. I have never known a footballer who can’t kick a ball, nor one who runs like he’s wearing roller skates. The opposition player I secretly admire is Jamie Vardy. I love to hate him.
The one change I’d make would be to have new owners – anything to break the monotony of survival being the only target every season.
The best Newcastle social media account is @ Nufcthreatlevel. It’s the go- to for old match highlights and Photoshops of Shola Ameobi. Our key player will be Allan Saint- Maximin. He’s in a different league to our other players, and vital to us winning games this year. The fans’ opinion of the gaffer
is that Steve Bruce is tactically inept, overly negative when we take the lead, and that in less than a year he dismantled a previously solid defence. He isn’t good enough for the Premier League. If he left, he should be replaced
by a younger, fresher manager who would still work under Ashley, such as Thomas Frank at Brentford or maybe even Steven Gerrard. We’ll finish 18th.
