VIEW FROM THE STANDS

- JAKE HUGHES @ Jjhughes_

The big talking point among the fans is incoming, rather than outgoing, transfers for once.

This season will be different to

last because Ralph Hasenhuttl’s way of playing is embedded within our team now, and Saints will be able to continue the momentum they gained after the restart.

I won’t be happy unless we keep improving our league finishes under Hasenhuttl – even if it’s only 10th. Our most underrated player is

Stuart Armstrong. Under the radar, but is instrumental to our system.

Look out for Jake Vokins. He made his full debut at Saints last season and it’s expected that the left- back will get more minutes in 2020- 21. The player I’d happily drive to

another club is Jannik Vestergaard. Are Leicester still interested?

The pantomime villain will be

Pierre- Emile Hojbjerg, after joining Tottenham. You’d think we might be used to it by now... The one change I’d make would be increasing the financial backing to buy the players we need... then keep them afterwards.

Save the date for Leicester at home. I don’t think I need to elaborate why.

Our key player will be Danny Ings. Our main goal threat was lethal last season. More of the same!

The fans’ opinion of the gaffer

is that he is universally adored. Saints fans believe they have one of the best bosses in the league.

If he left, he should be replaced

by Mauricio Pochettino, although he’d only use us for the image rebuild and leave again. We’ll finish in the top 10.
