The big talking point among the fans is how the pandemic will have affected football clubs, and not just our own. Will things still be the same for clubs who were previously thought of as strong? Our most underrated player is

Charlie Kirk, not only by opposition clubs and fans, but – unbelievably – by some of our own supporters.

Look out for Perry Ng ( 24 years old), Ryan Wintle ( 23), Kirk ( 22) and Harry Pickering ( 21). Those four players really do have very bright futures.

Save the date for the matchday when supporters are back inside the Alexandra Stadium watching League One football, so we can celebrate our promotion properly. The one change I’d make would be to more closely involve supporters at all levels of the club. The pantomime villains will be

Kirk [ below] and Ng, who just seem to wind up opposition players and fans. It’s hilarious. The player I’d happily drive to another club is Olly Lancashire. He has had injuries but we need to replace him, because he is probably on one of our bigger contracts. The best Crewe social media

account is @ Crewealex_ Chron, or Graham Mcgarry (@ Gmcgarrysport).

Did you know that 10 per cent of our football club is now owned by the fans and we also have a representative on the club board. The fans’ opinion of the gaffer is that they love him. That hasn’t always been the case, but Big Dave [ David Artell, above] has proved over time that he is completely right for our club. His passion is legendary: his interviews have you laughing out loud at times but then, in the next minute, thinking deeply about his views. In the end, no one can criticise last season’s success. If he left, he should be replaced by somebody promoted from within the club, I suspect, but I don’t want to think there would even be a possibility that he might leave.

We’ll finish somewhere in the middle of the table. We could surprise a few people.
