Puremagnetik Microtron ¤29

-

Famously used by bands such as The Beatles and Genesis, the Mellotron M400 was an instrument that housed several ‘sampled’ orchestral recordings on magnetic tape, letting you play them back and blend between the sounds. To faithfully capture the nuances of the original instrument, Puremagnetik have

crafted this collection of nine multisampled instruments: the MkII Flute, String Section, Brass, Cello, Clarinet, Glenn Miller-style brass, Octave Recorders, French Horn and eight-Voice Choir. Everything is macro-mapped, and there are 150 MIDI phrases included. It’s not the most versatile instrument, but Microtron does what it sets out to do: bring you the retro Mellotron sound at a steal of a price. It’s gritty, vibey, and crammed with personality. www.puremagnetik.com
