When starting on a track, is the immediacy of hardware better than using software?

“I don’t think it really matters, especially with software these days. In Ableton, I’ll go to the user library a lot, where I saved a bunch of sound palettes I’ve been working on and tweak them very quickly. But I’ll go back and forth with hardware and software until I get to a point where I’m very comfortable with my setup.”
