With Fancy French House Vol.1 the boys at Engineering Samples got under the hood of that early Daft Punk-esque sound, laying bare its filtered disco loops and heavily sidechained grooves. Now they’re back, with more of the same top-quality grooves to stock out your sample library. The 492MB of content packs a similar punch to round one. The raw drum hits and loops, again, provide the backbone for a heavy dose of filthy grooves, slinky bass riffs, and supremely flexible top lines. Props to the team for upping their game, on Vol. 2 as the melodic key lines and chord progressions have even more peak-time energy than before, and are sure to inspire maximum dancefloor reactions. One more time, indeed.
