It’s always sensible to power down studio equipment to save energy, although lots of power-cycling can stress circuits. If you’re using analogue gear, it’s wise to leave it on before use so that it’s fully warmed up. Also, consider connecting equipment without power switches to a plugboard with on/off switches for ease of switching it on/off.
