Logic X via external drive?

If you have an older Mac running an OS version not compatible with Logic X, then you can install Logic X on an external bootable drive. Simply grab an external HD, format using the GUID partition format, install the latest Mac OS and Logic on the drive, then hold down option during startup to select this as your startup disk.
