VST/CV TRICKS
Now that the Pulsar Dual LFO comes free with Reason, you get two LFOs to call up instantly to modulate any control in a plugin.
To use Pulsar’s envelope, add it to a Combinator with your instrument, select Pulsar in the Programmer and tick Receive Notes. You can send this signal to any other device in the rack, including VST effects for sidechain setups.
The Matrix Sequencer can sequence any parameter. Program it in Curve mode and output the Curve CV.
Gate signals can be a real inspiration. Using Kong’s Gate outputs to drive VST parameters is especially fun if you’ve got an MPC-style pad controller connected.
Use Combinators to save VST instrument and effects chains – including their CV routings – for later.
