How to… compare audio tracks

Live 10 added multi-channel audio to Max For Live and we’re starting to see devices taking advantage of this functionality. Our favourite so far is Multi-Analyzer, a free download device from Isotonik Studios. This easy-to-use tool allows users to compare an analysis of the frequency content for up to four different audio channels in real time. This is handy for identifying areas of frequency bloat, where two or more sounds clash, or for comparing your overall mixes to other, professionally mastered tunes. Load it up over a bounce of your track and route up to three commercial releases into the analysis tracks.
