How to… use Note Echo
Note Echo is a Max MIDI device that creates an effect similar to delay. The difference is that, where delay uses a feedback loop to repeat an existing audio signal, Note Echo duplicates the incoming MIDI, generating delays within the note info before it hits the instrument. Why? Well, Note Echo offers control over the pitch of delayed notes, so you create extreme variations without re-pitched audio delay effects. Note Echo can also create interesting results for instruments with different polyphony. Play with delays that overwhelm one another fed into a mono or duophonic synth, for really odd results!
